Install HouseCat on a supported 64-bit Windows PC. Choose Standalone Mode to begin immediately without signing in or pairing.

Choose Feed, Drink, Pet, Play, Litter, Sleep, or Wake. HouseCat saves Care progress and clearly shows the activity in progress.

The Parent PIN stays on the PC. Connected controls appear only for eligible accounts and supported paired computers. Your Parent PIN always stays on the PC.

Create a one-time 9-digit code, enter it in the HouseCat app, and the computer will appear in your private dashboard.

Connected Household lets paired HouseCat computers send private app-to-app messages, with offline delivery and read status.

Copy or export a clear health report from the Windows app. Detailed technical information stays available when support needs it.

The desktop cat, Care, Child Mode, PC Health, maintenance, and reports continue locally. The dashboard reconnects automatically when service returns.

Some computers do not expose compatible temperature sensors. HouseCat shows “Unavailable” instead of guessing.

Network Rescue is a separate Windows recovery utility for focused local troubleshooting outside the main HouseCat app.
System requirements
Windows 11 is recommended. Windows 10 22H2 is best-effort legacy compatibility. 4 GB RAM and 1 GB free storage are the minimum.
