HouseCat features
Local Windows care comes first. Connected features add a private household view without taking away offline functionality.

Transparent animated desktop companion, idle and Care reactions, tray operation, saved placement, quiet mode, and local cat settings.

Feed, Drink, Pet, Play, Litter, Sleep, and Wake use guided activities, one task at a time, matching animations, meaningful pet statistics, sickness and recovery, and saved progress.

Children can interact with and care for the cat while adult HouseCat settings and PC tools remain protected. Child Mode protects HouseCat; it is not a whole-computer web filter.

Connected Household can display and safely manage Parent Lock status when the paired Windows PC supports those controls. The PIN stays on the PC, and the last confirmed lock remains active during outages.

Windows version, processor, memory, disks, GPU and driver information, uptime, pending restart, recent crashes, unexpected shutdowns, blue-screen evidence, and temperatures when supported.

HouseCat self-updates, Windows Update status, WinGet application updates, update history, restart requirements, and graphics-driver information only when Windows exposes it.

Built-in Windows health scans, careful temporary-file cleanup, restart scheduling, local history, report export, and privacy-safe support bundles.

Up to five paired Windows PCs, private app-to-app messaging, a private dashboard, health summaries, alerts, Family & Care status, device revocation, and audit history. Local features continue offline.

A separate free local rescue application with no HouseCat account or subscription. Use it as a focused recovery tool outside the main HouseCat app.
